Our Story

A Vision Brought to Life

Heritage Social brings Adebola Adeshina’s long-held vision to life — a vibrant family of restaurants, bars, and bakeries in iconic locations across Castor, Peterborough (Cambridgeshire), Grantham (Lincolnshire), and beyond. Rooted in the community, each venue celebrates local producers, showcases our passionate team, and brings people together through exceptional food, drink, and service.

Hospitality here is more than a profession — it’s a joy. From creative kitchens to lively bars, we create spaces where guests feel welcome, where our team thrives, and where sharing great experiences is at the heart of everything we do.

Inspired by SUSTAINABILITY

Ade’s deep-rooted passion for sustainability is reflected in every aspect of his work — from supporting small local farms and growers to championing ethical sourcing and environmentally responsible practices. At the heart of it all is a belief that good food begins with respect: for the land, for those who grow and produce it, and for the wellbeing of those we serve. Because eating well isn’t just a pleasure — it’s a path to living well.

from adversity
to acheivement

Raised in East London, Adebola’s journey to success was shaped by determination, resilience, and an unwavering passion for food. His path wasn’t conventional, but through hard work and belief in his craft, he rose through the culinary world.

Along the way, he trained with celebrated chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Eric Chavot — experiences that helped refine his distinctive culinary style. In 2017, he founded Heritage Social: not just a brand, but a celebration of perseverance, creativity, and the power of bringing people together through food.

Rooted in Values,
Powered by People

At the heart of Heritage Social is a strong ethos: equality, respect, and a genuine commitment to a healthy work-life balance. Adebola is a passionate advocate for fair treatment in hospitality and leads by example, fostering a positive, inclusive culture where everyone is encouraged to grow.

From well-trained teams to a happy, supportive working environment, Heritage Social believes that when people thrive, so does the experience. Our team is our strength — and their energy, skill, and care are at the centre of everything we do.

Places with Purpose, Stories with Soul

The Heritage Social journey began with The Chubby Castor, an award-winning fine dining restaurant that quickly garnered critical acclaim. It was soon followed by the expansion of The Yard Castor, an all-year-round concept set in the garden behind The Chubby Castor.

In Grantham, we’ve continued to breathe new life into historic spaces. Westgate Bakery has already caught the attention of national press, food influencers, and — most importantly — our growing community. Most recently, we opened Fletcher’s, a welcoming pub set in a beautifully restored former wine merchant’s building in the heart of Grantham. With each project, we aim not only to preserve the character of listed buildings, but to reimagine them as vibrant, community-focused destinations.

Heritage Social is built on Ade’s spirit of innovation and Alina’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Together, they continue to shape a dynamic, people-driven brand — one that honours its roots, celebrates its people, and brings new stories to life in every location.

All in the family

From fine dining at The Chubby Castor, to laid-back bites at The Yard Castor, fresh bakes at Westgate Bakery, and the welcoming atmosphere of Fletcher’s pub in Grantham, each venue in the Heritage Social family offers its own unique charm — all rooted in quality, creativity, and a warm, inviting spirit.
